About Career Mark

School girl
Career  Mark has long been considered one of the most robust awards for CEIAG, 'One of England's most rigorous quality award frameworks for Careers, information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)'- David Andrews, CEG Consultant.

This has now been endorsed by The Quality in Careers Standard Board (QiCS). They announced on 22.4.13 that Career Mark is one of the first five national quality awards to be accredited.

The House of Commons Education Select Committee, in January 2013, recommended that all schools should be required to work towards a dedicated CEIAG Award which is nationally validated by QiCS.

John Hayes MP (Previously Minister for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning) made a positive reference to careers quality awards, stating:

“I am pleased to welcome the establishment of the Quality in Careers Standard. The standard will provide national validation of the quality awards used by schools; colleges and work based learning providers to demonstrate they are offering strong support to young people through careers education, information, advice and guidance. This is a really good example of an initiative which will help providers to do their best for all their learners.”

Celebrating success

Being awarded Career Mark is a great achievement and it is only natural that you will want to publicize and celebrate your success.

It is a great way to demonstrate your achievement, your commitment to young people and your commitment to continuous improvement.

What they say about Career Mark - from Headteachers at schools which have gained the award:
